Capture the wonder of Debussy at the keyboard.

Debussy’s piano music captures the imagination like no other, and his Préludes for piano are among his most evocative compositions. Each piece offers a vivid portrait of a character, scene, or legend, and yet each can serve as a template for the performer's own personality and creative impulse.

International piano phenomenon Jean-Yves Thibaudet leads by example. Watch as he manipulates the touch and tone of his personal Steinway in 3 of Debussy’s most enchanting pieces.

  • Explore how to realize the imagery embedded in the score of each Prélude

  • Uncover the layered lines and motives and infuse them with your authentic interpretation

  • Decipher Debussy's detail markings to create new experiences for your audience

COURSE CURRICULUM
